Walmart's Flipkart Will Look Into Multiple Geographies for IPO: Report

Flipkart’s IPO at a sky-high valuation of USD 60-70 billion with plans to list on US bourses, as per media reports

Ecommerce major Flipkart's Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy said the Walmart-owned company would look at multiple geographies, including India, for its planned IPO, according to media reports

As per media reports, Krishnamurthy told that the listing will eventually happen. Regarding geography, we will look at multiple geographies, including India. There is no final decision on any of these aspects at this stage. 

Last year, Walmart International CEO Judith McKenna said that Flipkart would go for a public listing ‘when the time is right’

Flipkart is the market leader in India with a GMV at USD 23 billion a strong horizontal presence, as per Euromonitor. 

Given the breakup, 70 per cent of its customers come from tier 2/3 cities, and with Shopsy, the group aims to increase this to 90 per cent.
