Unacademy Acquires Gate Academy, Rolls Out 50 YouTube Channels

Unacademy an edtech unicorn acquires GATE academy for an undisclosed amount. In a tweet, Unacademy wrote GATE Academy Unacademy. According to the media reports, Umesh Dhande will join Unacademy as the Vice President who is the founder and director of Gate Academy. Also, the transfer of employees will happen from GATE Academy to Unacademy.
They also announced their new initiatives, plans to launch 50 Unacademy youtube channels that will be looked after by respective educators, one on one learning programme called 'Compete' in which students can compete with each other and will get a score with a tag. Unacademy National Scholarship Admission test UNSAT which will be applicable up to 100 per cent Scholarship.
Unacademy is unicorn edtech and Gate academy is a prominent learning centre where they focus on exams like GATE which opens the door of institutes like IITs and IIS for their masters.
