After the successful launch of Financial Technology Special Interest Group, TiE Chennai organizes series of FINTECH sessions for aspiring entrepreneurs to communicate the recent developments, challenges and new trends in the Financial Technology (later mentioned as fintech) industry. This event covered discussions on “BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY” that was held recently in the Auditorium of IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai.

The discussion was moderated by Mr. Suresh Kuppuswamy, CEO, Sterling Software Pvt Ltd and Charter Member, TiE Chennai along with the two blockchain technology experts Mr. Karthik Iyer, India Ambassador, P2P Foundations, and Mr. J Mohamed Zahoor, Software Developer, Ethereum Foundation.    

The session was attended by budding entrepreneurs and leading executives in the Financial and IT sector from the city. Experts briefed on the introduction to the Blockchain and Bitcoin, understanding on why distributed ledger systems are critical and where is it all going to in the near future.

Experts also briefed more on the evolution of blockchain and bitcoin, the reasons for a transition from centralized organizations to distribute autonomous organizations, applications of the block-chain beyond FINTECH and future of organizations and the role of blockchain.
