Swiggy Pilots One-hour Ecommerce Delivery In Bengaluru
The company is also preparing for a public listing by September this year, according to media reports
Food delivery firm Swiggy is testing a new ecommerce feature in its app, Maxx, which claims to deliver orders within an hour. The pilot is currently conducted in select areas of Bengaluru. This is happening amidst quick commerce platform Blinkit delivery partner row over wage restructuring.
The pilot is limited to some parts of Bengaluru like Indiranagar. Under this pilot, the company is offering free shipping as well. Further, the platform is offering 30-60 per cent discounts across products, as per media reports.
The company is also preparing for a public listing by September this year, according to media reports.
Recently, Swiggy's CTO Dale Vaz stepped down from his role, while the Senior Vice President for consumer technology and fintech at the company, Madhusudhan Rao, was elevated to the CTO role.
