Softbank-Backed Sense Acquires AI-Based Recruitment Firm Skillate
In addition to expanding Sense’s AI matching to integrate candidate matching by skill, education, and experience, this acquisition brings AI powered Talent Engagement to Sense’s customers


Sense, an AI-driven talent engagement solution for recruiting aquires Skillate whcih is an AI recruitment platform incubated within SAP Startup Studio.
The addition of Skillate’s technology enhances Sense’s ability to provide AI-powered hiring including candidate matching, job distribution, job description assistance, and talent relationship management.
In addition to expanding Sense’s AI matching to integrate candidate matching by skill, education, and experience, this acquisition brings AI powered Talent Engagement to Sense’s customers which include leading global brands like Sony, Coca Cola and Anheuser-Busch along with the majority of unicorns in India.

The acquisition is another milestone for Sense, which is in hyper-growth doubling YoY over the past few years. Sense had secured a $50 million Series D from Softbank in 2021 and counts Avataar Ventures, Accel, and Google Ventures as its other marquee investors.
