After their positive response in Delhi NCR, leading home automation startup, Oakter is all set for their foray into the state of Gujarat. Gujarat will be the first state outside the home state in which its offline distribution network will be established, and then extended to other states.
The reason Gujrat is chosen is because Oakter has done maximum online sales in Gujarat region, particularly in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Baroda. Local offices will be established in all major cities of Gujarat to handle logistics and provide local customer support. Oakter is now establishing offline brick and mortar distribution network. The startup claims theirs to be the most rated smart home product on Amazon and its mobile app is the most downloaded among all smart home companies of India.
Oakter is a tech startup based out of Noida, and founded in 2014. Oakter manufactures smart home products like smart locks and smart plugs. Smart lock avoids hassles of carrying keys while provided added security and convenience. Smart plugs smarten existing home appliances so that they can be controlled better and managed remotely using a mobile app.
Oakter’s founding team consists of friends from IIT Delhi with track record of success in entrepreneurship. They want to challenge the status quo of how Indians manage their homes by introducing IoT based smart home products that are user friendly, robust, cost effective and real value add for consumers.
