Pathfinders is an app launched by Sequoia Capital India and Southeast Asia. The app will cater to early-stage founders looking to set foot in international markets and connect them with the appropriate industry players in these regions.
Founders can use the platform to describe whatever assistance they require and be paired with the right industry 'pathfinder' who will invest their time in assisting these firms to expand into unexplored areas.
The company has tied up with six startups as part of the Pathfinders platform. Furthermore, it is looking to extend this across to Series A startups from a seed portfolio investment.
As Dr. Harshjit Sethi, MD said, we at Sequoia know some terrific people who have been a part of some of our successful portfolio firms and are well-equipped to assist our startups with these intricacies.
Currently, the platform has 25 "pathfinders," or industry operators, available, and the venture fund is launching an app for portfolio companies to connect with the right industry operators.
Among those now involved in the programme are Amit Singh, president of Palo Alto Networks; Oliver Jay, former chief revenue officer of Asana; Param Kalhon, chief product officer of UIPath; and Prasanna Sankar, cofounder of Rippling.
The VC fund also stated that it will solicit active input from founders on their mentorship in order to enable the next batch of firms and founders to extract value from what the industry executive has to offer.
It is now seeking operators in the United States and Europe, with plans to extend to additional worldwide regions such as Latin America and Australia.
Sequoia India has previously launched many programmes for founders and startups, including Sequoia Spark, a fellowship for men.
