Edtech major PhysicsWallah has rolled out 50 offline centres, which it brands as "Vidyapeeth Centres." According to the company, the expansion cost around Rs 82 crore in investments in technologies. In addition, the business intends to award scholarships worth approximately Rs 160 crore in the coming academic year.
The edtech company further stated that these centres are tech-integrated offline classrooms with 650 smart classrooms. It already operates 11 Vidyapeeth centres in cities across the country.
In the present academic year, the company has received over 90,000 registrations and aims to reach 1.5 lakh during the session for JEE, NEET, and foundation test preparations.
In a statement, the company said that it has offered scholarships worth USD 12 million (about Rs 98 crore) through the PW Scholarship and Admission Test (SAT) to deserving students as well as those who cannot afford quality offline education in the 2023-24 academic year.
