Ola Launches Its Premium Service In Bengaluru

Ola also announced its debut into the premium EV segment earlier this year, with a fleet of 10,000 cars

Bhavish Aggarwal, Co-founder and CEO of ride-hailing startup Ola, took to Twitter on Sunday to announce the debut of the company's new premium cab service, Ola Prime Plus, in Bengaluru.

Aggarwal said on tweeter, “Prime Plus: Best drivers, top cars, no cancellations or operational hassles. Will go live for select customers in Bangalore today. Do try it out."

Aggarwal went on to say that he would be "using it frequently" and would be tweeting about his experiences with the service. Rides booked through Prime Plus, according to Aggarwal, will be less expensive than Ola Mini, the platform's cheapest cab option.

It is unclear whether the service will charge clients extra or be a membership service, similar to Zomato Pro, which offers customers additional discounts compared to normal users.

Ola currently offers Mini, Auto, and Bike services, and users may book Prime Sedan, Prime SUV, and Rentals using its app. Ola also announced its debut into the premium EV segment earlier this year, with a fleet of 10,000 cars.

Ola claimed identical benefits to Prime Plus at the time, including top-rated drivers, 100 per cent trip guarantee, zero cancellations, and 100 pee cent cashless payments.
