Niranjan Hiranandani from Hiranandani Group and Founder of YourStory Shradha Sharma invests an undisclosed amount as part of seed funding in Goodfellows which is a senior companionship startup. It is also backed by Ratan Tata. Niranjan Hiranandani and Shradha Sharma will be onboarded to the startup’s advisory board.
The startup plans to strengthen its operation in Mumbai and expand services to new cities like Pune, Kolkata and Bengaluru. It also plans to employ methods to address queries on the platform.
According to the media report Niranjan Hirandani mentioned that the startup has understood a problem and has looked for a solution which makes it unique. Goodfellows was founded by Shantanu Naidu and launched in September 2022 with a token investment from Tata Son’s emeritus, Ratan Tata.
It is a Mumbai-based platform that provides companionship to the elderly in their day-to-day activities and was expected to start off operations early this year. It also launched a beta version of its platform the late last year and onboarded about 20-25 subscribers with 15 employees as of December 2021.
