Microsoft Introduces New Payments App For SMBs On Teams

Tech giant Microsoft has launched its new Payments app on Teams to enable paid appointments, classes and webinars for small and medium-sized businesses.

With this rollout, Teams users can undertake easy collection of payments from within Teams on desktop or mobile devices during a meeting.

Currently, the Payments app has been launched in the US and Canada in collaboration with GoDaddy, PayPal and Stripe.

Once the app is configured and connection has been established with GoDaddy Payments, PayPal or Stripe account(s), users can send a payment request to their customers during a meeting in just a few clicks. While Stripe and PayPal are available for users, GoDaddy Payments is expected to be integrated soon into the app.

The Payments app has been made available free of charge in the Teams Store for Teams Essentials and Microsoft 365 business.
