Seedstars World, the largest seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes has brought its pre-selection rounds to an end. Seedstars World will be holding a pitching event on May 18th at 3pm at Wework Gurgaon.

The entrepreneurs will pitch in front of a jury that consists of Shreyasi Singh (Vedica Scholars Programme for women), Sandro Stephen (Indian Angel Network), Arpit Agarwal (Blume VC), Farheen Ahmad (CRON Systems)andGabriela Fernandez Scala, Associate of Seedstars World for Asia.
The winning startup will secure a place in the competition finals at the Seedstars Summit, that annually takes place in Switzerland. The most promising startup from India will compete against other 65 countries for up $1M equity investment, among other prizes.
In addition, Seedstars World is closely working with Merck Accelerator in order to support seed-stage companies with a focus on the fields of healthcare, life science and performance materials. The most promising HealthTech startups will receive office space in the Merck Innovation Center in Kenya or Germany, mentoring and coaching on a regular basis and financial support of up to €50,000.
Seedstars Delhi counts with further support provided by Startup Safari and WeWork, both active promoters of the India tech startup ecosystem.
Recently, T-Hub’s cohort-based incubation program Lab32™, has also announced that it has selected 70 startups from the hundreds of applications received for its first cohort this year. The selected startups are operating in sectors like AgriTech, EdTech, FinTech, HealthTech, Information and Communication Technology, Smart Cities, Smart Mobility and Transportation, Social Impact & Sustainability. The startups' names stands confidential for now, are based out in US and India.
