IAN's Alpha Fund Announces First Close At Rs355cr

IAN Group's venture capital fund, IAN Alpha Fund, has achieved its first close at Rs 355 crore, surpassing its initial target corpus. The fund, with a total size of Rs 1000 crore, represents the second venture capital fund in IAN Group's series. Investors in IAN Alpha Fund include SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India), SRI Fund, and various participants from IAN Fund I.

Saurabh Srivastava, Co-Founder of the Indian Angel Network, expressed the fund's significance in realizing their vision of investing in more than 500 startups and generating 5 lakh jobs by 2030. The Alpha Fund, registered under SEBI as an Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) Category II, is strategically focused on sectors like clean tech, health tech/bio, fintech, deep tech, spacetech, consumer, agri-tech, cybersecurity, hardware, robotics, and more.

The IAN Group, known for bringing Indian innovation to global markets, has already invested over Rs 900 crore in 250 startups. These startups, currently valued at over USD 9 billion, reflect the IAN Group's commitment to fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and driving substantial economic growth in India.
