Homecare products startup Happi Planet, established by former P&G executives, has raised a funding round of Rs 8.47 crore from Fireside Ventures. This follows a previous investment of Rs 1.25 crore from 100X.VC in March last year.
According to Nimeet Dhokai, Co-founder of Happi Planet, the newly acquired funds will be utilised to bolster the brand's offline presence and expand awareness initiatives. Dhokai expressed the brand's ambition to achieve a 10x increase in its topline growth within the next 12 months.
Dhokai highlighted the increasing trend of conscious consumption among consumers, particularly in the realm of homecare products. He emphasized the growing demand for "better-for-you" options, including toxin-free alternatives for laundry and dishwashing. Happi Planet aims to meet these evolving consumer needs by offering products made from 100% plant-based actives.
Launched in July 2022, Happi Planet offers a diverse range of plant-based homecare products, including laundry detergent liquid, dishwashing liquid, handwash, floor cleaner, and toilet cleaner. These products are currently available for purchase on various online platforms and in modern trade stores such as Reliance Signature stores.
