App for fantasy stock gaming TradingLeagues has secured USD 3.5 million in a Pre-series A funding led by Leo Capital, with participation from investors such as Jeejeebhoy Family Office and KP Balaraj's (Co-Founder of Sequoia India and Westbridge Capital) family office.
TradingLeagues hopes to build its 750K+ member community into the millions over the next few months with the new funding by focusing on greatly improving the app's user experience, according to a statement.
Rain Platforms, founded by Upstox founder Raghu Kumar and AGacquisitions founder Harsh Agarwal, builds, owns, and manages TradingLeagues, a socially enabled investment and trading platform that combines fintech and gaming. Through four game styles, the platform assists players in developing a thorough grasp of the stock and cryptocurrency markets. These games assist users in the development of specialised skills such as portfolio building and day trading.
The Bengaluru-based startup recently launched weekly 'Mega Games' with higher prize pools in popular gaming categories.
