Byju's, an edtech platform, has introduced Byju's WIZ, which uses generative artificial intelligence (AI) to give students with customised and effective learning experiences. BADRI, MathGPT and TeacherGPT are the three AI transformer models included in the WIZ package.

According to the Bengaluru-based startup, the AI suite can properly forecast a student's knowledge state (in 90 per cent of situations) and identify misconceptions, learning gaps, or'silly' blunders. Its platform may be linked into Byju 's learning platforms to make them more customised and student-centric.

Dev Roy, Chief Innovation and Learning Officer at Byju's, said,"We believe Byju’s WIZ will usher in a new era of personalised learning, taking a significant leap forward in the way we educate our future generations. Its launch is a definitive event in our constant endeavour to teach students not just ‘what to learn’ but also ‘how to learn’."

BADRI uses billions of daily student interactions to identify each student's strengths and shortcomings, then provides customised questions and learning videos to help them develop in those areas. MathGPT applies advanced machine learning methods to solve complicated math problems. TeacherGPT, an AI-powered assistant, provides individualised instruction to students and grades their responses.

The suite will be incorporated throughout Byju's whole product offering, from Pre-K to Grey. According to a statement, the goal of this thorough integration is to ensure that students of all ages may benefit from the cutting-edge developments and transformative impact of these models throughout their learning journey.

Byju's said that its 24x7 hyper-personalised learning experiences are suited to the specific needs of students throughout the world, while also optimising internal systems such as instructor audits to improve products such as live courses.

These models are now being tested at Byjus labs, which are said to be equipped with cutting-edge technology and staffed by a team of researchers, data scientists, and educational professionals.
