ESL India Premiership Summer Season Finale, A Biggest Gaming Event Ends On A High, Winners Receive Cash Prize

The grand finals took place on Sunday, 24 June 2018 and the champions of the new season were crowned.

After 2 days of esports, entertainment and excitement, the Summer Season Finale of Omen by HP ESL India Premiership 2018, came to a close. The offline tournament was organised and managed by NODWIN Gaming Private Limited, pioneer of esports in India, (Source: Industry Insights for Online and Mobile Gaming in India by Frost & Sullivan dated January 20, 2018) and a subsidiary of Nazara Technologies Limited (Nazara). The Summer Season Finale of Omen by HP ESL India Premiership took place in Mumbai on the 23rd and 24th of June 2018. 

The Summer Season Finale celebrated the successful culmination of the first season in the Omen by HP ESL India Premiership 2018 calendar. To commemorate the occasion, the top four contestants from the Masters Leagues of the different games were invited to participate in the championship. The grand finals took place on Sunday, 24 June 2018 and the champions of the new season were crowned. In Clash Royale it was Mukul Anchal/Saif Patel. Likewise in Dota 2, Mumbai team, ROG Titans/Signify lifted the trophy. Meanwhile, Entity Gaming/Team Invictus reigned supreme in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive championship. The progress of the tournament was streamed exclusively on Hotstar, a leading digital and mobile entertainment platform in India.

The esports event also hosted a plethora of activities besides competitive gaming. The two-day finale witnessed stand-up acts by two of India’s top comedians - Abish Mathew and Gaurav Kapoor. Meanwhile, the event also saw performances by football freestylers - Aarish Ansari, Chanpreet Singh Bhui and others. A dedicated gaming zone was also setup and featured popular titles such as PUBG, Uncharted 4 and much more. The event sponsors, Omen by HP and HyperX hosted exclusive experience booths which gave the crowds access to premium gaming gear.

The Summer Season Finale also proved to be a platform for the event sponsors to introduce their new products. Both HP and HyperX took the opportunity to usher in their new products aimed at the gaming crowd. HP revealed two new laptops - Omen by HP 15 and the HP Pavilion Gaming 15. It should be noted that the former is directed to a hardcore gamer while the latter to a more casual gamer. While the Omen by HP 15 boasts of a 144hz display and superior cooling system, the HP Pavilion Gaming 15 is a perfect pick for entertainment and gaming purposes. Overall, the two laptops are packed with the latest configuration and promise a seamless performance to the user. Meanwhile, HyperX unveiled a new mechanical keyboard. Known as the HyperX Alloy Elite RGB, this keyboard arrives with Cherry MX keys, customizable macro settings and dynamic lighting effects.

In 2018, ESL India Premiership has Omen by HP as the title sponsors for the second consecutive year. This association exhibits HP’s unwavering support to the domestic competitive gaming scene.
