Cactus Venture Partners Raises Rs 630 Cr For Its Maiden Fund

The fund aims to invest in about 15 companies, with 60 per cent of the investment coming from domestic sources and the remainder from international partners

Cactus Venture Partners, an investor in early-stage startups in climate tech, enterprise software and health tech, on Thursday raised Rs 630 crore (about USD 75.9 million) for its first fund.


The fund aims to invest in about 15 companies, with 60 per cent of the investment coming from domestic sources and the remainder from international partners. The firm has already made six investments and secured one exit.


Its investors include Indian development financial institutions such as SIDBI, Self-Reliant India Fund (SRI Fund), and the UP Startup Fund. Cactus Venture Partners plans to continue investing for the next three years, maintaining a 1:1 ratio between follow-on investments and new funding deals. It is also aiming to close three to five new deals in the first half of 2024, with each deal ranging from Rs 20 crore to Rs 40 crore.
