Budget Reactions 2022: GatiShakti Can Lead To Better Integration

To boost the digital ecosystem skilled manpower is much needed. We hope that the National Skill Qualification Framework will help in connecting this new generation of skilled personnel with entrepreneurs.

Look forward to speedy and successful implementation of PM GATI SHAKTI plan. This can lead to better integration of various modules and facilitate last mile connectivity of infrastructure allowing better access to textile clusters and to develop logistic and delivery capabilities in Tier II and Tier III cities. This will also help in on time deliveries and hassle-free returns.

As D2C model gains momentum there is a need to increase the geographical presence and that will be supported by a solid infrastructure plan.

From the perspective of start-up ecosystem and the so called “Next phase of ease of doing business 2.0”, we were hoping for simplification of compliances and ease in taxation. However, we see no change in income tax and any further steps to promote MSME.

We expected the union budget to provide further incentives and economical support especially for MSME’S to help in recovering from effects of pandemic and help in accelerating the growth in 2022.

The prices of the primary raw material of the fashion industry, cotton, have sky rocketed in the last 2 years which are affecting margins and profitability. We were expecting some schemes for cotton price stabilization to deal with this volatility.

To boost the digital ecosystem skilled manpower is much needed. We hope that the National Skill Qualification Framework will help in connecting this new generation of skilled personnel with entrepreneurs.
