Budget Expectations: Need To Bring In A Centralised Data Security Program

The exploitation data can lead to alarming consequences such as loss of patients financial hardships, badgering, and so on. This can be solved by setting up tech security establishments. There is a need to bring in a centralized data security program against data breaching that can help healthcare startups to handle security problems.

The healthcare sector in India is one of the largest sectors in terms of job generation but being service-based podiums, the healthcare startups have to go through more lingering spans to encash returns. While there are ample opportunities in the health-tech market turning up from the pandemic, the inadequacy of an extensive regulatory structure has averted several startups from being able to create a considerable impact in the health space.

To stabilize the monetary losses, universal regulatory plans covering the Medtech market should be designed with immediate effect. The government and other industry-regulatory apex bodies should come together to form robust regulatory guidelines that could ensure the entire ecosystem and carefully plan skilful implementation policies at both the business and technology level to gain the desired momentum to excel.

Especially Healthcare technology startups based on remote operations need a high level of seamless integration between cutting-edge technology, back-end infrastructure support, and highly skilled staff. In the upcoming budget, the government should focus on establishing and setting up infrastructural and linked integrated capabilities like telemedicine, homecare, and senior care so that the new healthcare startups could fulfil crucial healthcare duties adequately. The government should also think of giving rebates in GST to the healthcare startup sector so that the physicians and healthcare service delivery establishments can avail of loans at lower rates for an extended tenure.

Among many healthcare startups, some of the platforms are in the growing stage and need special recognition and directed guidance for the steady improvement of clinical and commercial possibilities. Efficient distribution and transmission of healthcare technology need to be bolstered by proper, viable, and cost-effective resource application, including medical workforce and patient training for remote operations and digital broadcast.

Another critical area that needs government intervention and support is cybersecurity. Healthcare companies are using various applications and programs to store patients' data. Since computerized data storage is a lot simpler to deal with, many times the security aspect of it got ignored due to various reasons. The exploitation of this data can lead to alarming consequences such as loss of patients financial hardships, badgering, and so on.  This can be solved by setting up tech security establishments. There is a need to bring in a centralized data security program against data breaching that can help healthcare startups to handle security problems.
