Online ticketing platform BookMyShow has recently said it is going to lay off 200 employees amidst pandemic-induced difficulties.
Taking to Twitter, Ashish Hemrajani, CEO of Bigtree Entertainment Pvt Ltd, the parent company of BookMyShow declared the sad news: "COVID19 has taught me many lessons & I learned another one today. As we let go of 200 of the most incredibility talented & performance-driven individuals, each & everyone has messaged, thanking me for the opportunity, the love for @bookmyshow and asking me if they could help me in any way possible."
However, Hemrajani is willing to help his employees search for other job opportunities. "And for me, finding each of them a new home, where a new journey can begin, was the easy choice. The pandemic has caused many job losses, but with industries slowly reopening one can hope to get new and better opportunities.
