Ah! Ventures Ropes In Three New Venture Partners

Early-stage investment platform, ah! Ventures announces that it has onboarded three new venture partners to its team. The new members include Mukul Jain from Redbrick Capital Advisors, ProGrowth Ventures and Viraj Shah.

In June last year, ah! Ventures announced the launch of its first angel fund, with a corpus of Rs 100 crore and a greenshoe option of Rs 50 crore, to invest in early-stage and Pre-series A startups. This new fund will be sector-neutral, investing Rs 3–5 crore in 30–35 startups.

The investment firm was established by Abhijeet Kumar and Harshad Lahoti. It began investing in 2012-13 and has since participated in over 140 deals totaling about Rs 286 crore. Typically, it enters the early stages of investment with a cheque size of Rs 3-3.5 crore.

The investment firm has had 14 exits, and 28 of its portfolio startups have raised follow-on funding. Among those it has backed are fresh fish and meat e-retailer Zappfresh, baby products and parenting platform Baby Chakra, and customer engagement company Exotel.
