According to ANI, 17 year old Vedaant Aggarwal from Delhi has raised an undisclosed amount of pre-series A funding for his healthcare startup, OHM Healthcare. The funding comes from an undisclosed health organization and will help the startup expand its services while increasing team size. At present the team is building the app interface for OHM Healthcare.

OHM Healthcare (marketed as Mitr Services) was established in early 2017 and is an innovative healthcare solution using a high tech, high touch approach to revolutionizing home healthcare services.

Three years ago, Vedaant began his journey by volunteering with Earth Saviours Foundation. It’s an NGO which provides care to hundreds of senior citizens abandoned by their families. There, this teenager experienced the profound impact dedicated, personalized care can have on its recipients. In 2016, he interned at a medtech company called SNG Healthcare. Here Vedaant discovered the revolutionary role technology played in healthcare by its ability to streamline processes, and freeing doctors and caregivers to devote more time to their patients.

Using these two milestones as inspiration and heightened by the very personal experience of seeing his family struggling to find reliable, high-quality in-home care for his grandfather living in Chandigarh, Vedaant came up with the idea for OHM Healthcare. After some further fine tuning the business plan for OHM Healthcare, Vedaant and his team won third place at The Indus Entrepreneurs - The Young Entrepreneurs Business Pitch competition in May 2017.

"We are happy to receive pre- series A funding for our startup. This would definitely help us in further strengthening our capabilities and team size. We are not just facilitators; we are enablers, and our clients are our utmost priority. We specialize in preventive healthcare, as well as swift response to emergency situations. We are also tech enabled, allowing us to provide especially for elderly and lonely people who do not have in-house support. Our cloud-based platform also allows all stakeholders to access medical reports and records anytime, anywhere globally,"  ANI reported the cofounder and COO of OHM Healthcare, Vedaant Aggarwal as saying.

The startup offers healthcare solutions like proactive healthcare for family, especially elderly family members of people working away; routine and emergency medical care services from trusted, highly trained professionals; routine health checks; high tech tracking of all health records and vitals; diligent and transparent record keeping of all health checks and medical history; 24x7 medical emergency services, and above all an emotional connect with family, especially to lonely elders through its dedicated Health Mitrs and one-of-a-kind social network.

At present, Vedaant is studying at Modern School, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi, and will be taking the CBSE Grade 12 in Commerce Stream next year.
