Last week, a young intern at InMobi accused a senior manager Ganapthi R. Subramanyam of sexual harassment. The intern is seeking justice and shared his ordeal on social media, igniting a firestorm of concern and calls for action.

The intern, who detailed his traumatic experience on social X(formerly Twitter), alleges that the senior manager touched him inappropriately outside the work environment.

The harassment accusation of InMobi is not dying yet. The intern victim of harassment took the situation on X (formerly Twitter). Many people on social media have come up to support him and are demanding appropriate action from the company.

In a conversation with BW Businessworld, the victim shared his situation and the response he received from the company.

He said," It's been two weeks now but I have not received any satisfying response from the company. My work colleagues whom I told everything, asked me to let it go."

He also added," When I asked HR about the progress in the case, the response I received is that the committee is working on it and they can not disclose anything related to it- not even to me. They are not transparent with me and my internship has been extended for one more month. I have been asked to come to the office, where he(accused) still works."

Sahil Mathur, CHRO, InMobi, in a statement, mentioned that the company is taking strict actions and have provided therapy session for the victim within 24 hours of the complaint.

In a swift response, InMobi addressed recent allegations, stating, "We acted promptly, responding to the complaint within 12 hours, offering counselling support to the complainant within 24 hours. In just 12 days, the Committee conducted four investigative meetings while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity."

They stated," At InMobi and Glance, we take the issue of sexual harassment at the workplace very seriously."
