WoodenStreet To Expand its Presence in Bangalore with One More Store with an Investment of Rs 50 Lakhs

WoodenStreet is looking to expand in the neighbourhood of Bengaluru by opening 13th experience store in India.

India’s finest online custom furniture store, WoodenStreet, will begin its first tier of expansion in FY 2019-20 by opening the new experience store in Whitefield, Bangalore.

It will be the next one after 12 brick and mortar stores successfully set up in 2018.

Whitefield, a major suburb of Bangalore was chosen as the ideal spot for opening the new experience store because of the diversified audiences living there.

Hence, people from different tastes can find different varieties of solid wood furniture all under one roof.

On the opening of a new store in Bangalore Mr. Lokendra Ranawat, CEO of WoodenStreet, said “For WoodenStreet, 2018 was an aggressive year. With mounting up the 12 experience stores by the end of FY 2018-19, it’s the right time to extend this number and bring people closer to the world of solid wood furniture.”

The company cultivates to grow thoroughly with these experience stores of carpet area 3,000-5,000 sqft. in major cities such as Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad.

With the huge network that caters in 100+ cities across India, the company is getting 10,000 website visits daily, and an average selling of 2,000 products per month.

It's noteworthy that WoodenStreet had raised USD 1 million in its first round of funding from RVCF last year, thereby expanding its reach all over the country. The company is aiming to bi-fold the rise in brick and mortar services by the end of this financial year.

For Wooden Street, customization is the key to unlock the idea of creating the furniture which reflects one’s personality. Saying that, Whitefield Bangalore store will also allow customers to customize their furniture.

The idea behind opening these brick and mortar stores was to experience the furniture in person from the huge variety of products available online.

The experience stores allow customers to feel the strength of solid-wood furniture, evaluate it and make appointments to get a design for their home interiors and needs.
