VC Firm Fireside Ventures Elevates Three Partners As Co-founders

The venture capital firm announced the closing of Fund III in November 2022 for USD 225 million. The prior two funds were primarily focused on D2C brands

Three of the partners at Fireside Ventures, an early-stage venture fund that invests in domestic consumer brands, have been promoted to co-founders. Kannan Sitaram, Vinay Singh, and Dipanjan Basu were evlevated.

Sitaram has over 30 years of experience in the consumer sector. He already serves on the boards of several of Fireside's main investments, including MamaEarth, Yogabar, and Kapiva. 

Singh, on the other hand, has 15 years of domain expertise in consumer brands and technology industries, including brand management, marketing, and digital commerce. He mentors a number of portfolio firms, including 91 Cycles, Pilgrim, and Gynoveda.

Meanwhile, Basu, who has over 20 years of expertise in investment, e-commerce, mergers and acquisitions, operations, and finance, serves on the boards of The Sleep Company, FS Life (previously Fable Street), and Nat Habit. 

Kanwaljit Singh founded Fireside Ventures in 2017. The VC firm's AUM (assets under management) is Rs 3,000 crore (USD 395 million), and it is currently investing from Fund III. It invests in consumer brands across industries, including health and wellness, food and drinks, beauty and personal care, nutraceuticals, lifestyle and home products, and so on.
