Plus-size innerwear and comfort clothing startup Happie Curves has secured Rs 20 Lakhs (Rs 2 Million) in angel funding on the 'Indian Angels' OTT show.
The investment comes from two investors, Rikant Pittie, Co-Founder of EaseMyTrip and Aparna Thyagarajan, Co-Founder & Chief Product Officer of Shobitam Inc.
Happie Curves, founded by Sonal Somani, gained attention for its inclusive clothing line focusing on plus-size individuals.
The 'Golden Angels,' as they are dubbed, comprise the founders of Shobhitam and EaseMyTrip, coming together to support and invest in Happie Curves' growth and vision.
The angel funding, translating to a 30 per cent equity dilution, marks a big milestone for Happie Curves.
Sonal Somani, Founder of Happie Curves, expressed her excitement about the backing received. She emphasized the validation of her business idea and the potential it holds.
Happie Curves, since its establishment in 2022, has focused to address the size unavailability issue in plus-size intimatewear, offering trendy and comfortable options.
The recent funding injection pushes the brand towards its long-term goal of becoming India's premier plus-size/curvy category brand.
