Agritech Start-Up FAARMS Creates A National Distribution Channel For SMEs

Faarms is connecting small-scale manufacturers (SMEs) of seed, feed, machinery tools to sell their products through their platform to farmers outside their state and grow their business.

Agritech Factory-to-farm start-up Faarms is assisting small and medium scale producers of seed and livestock feed from North India to expand their distribution channel PAN India. Prabhat Seeds from Haryana, Sheetal Industries, Sampoorna and Sardar Cattle feed from Punjab , Shiv Shakti Group and SP Solvent from Uttarakhand, Sai Agro and Baba deep are amongst the 50 + SMEs to tie up with Faarms.

Faarms is connecting small-scale manufacturers (SMEs) of seed, feed, machinery tools to sell their products through their platform to farmers outside their state and grow their business. The brands which were earlier present in just limited districts have been able to reach out to a larger network of farmers through Faarms in more than 7 states now.

Faarms which aims to be a single point e-commerce platform for farmers for all farming related inputs from seeds, agrochemicals and animal feed in India is currently connected to 8 lac farmers in 33,000 + villages in Punjab, Haryana, UP, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujrat & MP.

“SME and MSME is the backbone of Indian economy and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to assist the small and medium scale manufacturers in expanding their distribution channel across the country. We are on an aggressive PAN India expansion mode and our ties with SMEs will only get stronger as we take along the local seed and livestock manufacturers to a national level”, said Taranbir Singh and Alok Duggal-Co-founders of FAARMS.

On the association, Owner of Prabhat Seeds -Sunil Kalra said, “FAARMS is a boon not just for the farming community but also for local agro seed and equipment manufacturers like us. We have been able to reach 5 states from being present in just 1 state through FAARMS within a short span of time. We look forward to enter new geographies as Faarms expands its footprints across the country.”

Recently, the brand also signed a MoU with Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) under which FAARMS will have access to 422 warehouses across India that will help the company deliver seeds, agrochemicals, biofertilizers, poultry and cattle feed to the farmers in the interiors of different states on time.

Faarms is working with renowned agricultural universities to provide crop-related advice and impart knowledge on agricultural practices to the farmers.
