However, in what has been one of the few bright spots in an economic climate characterized by widespread unemployment and dented demand, India's startup economy has thrived on the back of an increasing number of successful tech startups mushrooming with consumers' increased reliance on the internet.
BW Businessworld organized the 3rd edition of BW Disrupt TechTors Summit & Awards, a marathon search for India's Most Innovative Top Emerging Software/Product Companies. BW TechTors has become a synonym for the high-caliber innovative product companies creating large enterprises and running for the long haul.

The awards received over 100 nominations from across the industry out of which 44 nominations were shortlisted for the jury. Some of the parameters used by the jury for selecting the final winners were technology impact, financial performance, and individual, as well as technology accomplishments.
