ePaisa has launched a new Quick Response (QR) code-based payment option for the Retailers and Shopkeepers in India with an aim to standardize the digital payment option.
ePaisa QR Code option is enabled in all of ePaisa’s Point of Sale APP’s where it simply works with a Printed QR Code which the retailer displays at their store. The printed QR code is basically a sticker provided by ePaisa to retailers from different segments which can be scanned using any UPI based Mobile Wallet or Bank APP.
The QR Code payment option allows a seamless, smart payment solution to small and large retail businesses and verticals like beauty salons, grocery stores, exhibitors, doctors, home businesses, vegetable seller and even newspaper vendors, a solution where customers can scan ePaisa QR code and the merchant gets instantly paid to their preferred bank account with a low MDR as compared to card transactions though ePaisa Point of Sale APP.
Commenting on the same, ePaisa’s Chief Business Officer Pravinkumar Bhandari said, “We are excited to launch this new feature where the merchant only requires an account number to receive payment. Our priority has always been to provide them a smooth and layman technology-based POS with best of benefits”.
This two-step process is extremely easy and hassle-free. The merchant customers have to open any digital wallet of banking app and tap on Scan QR Code or Scan & Pay while scanning the ePaisa QR Code to make any minimum payments to the merchant for goods or services.
Mr. Shahin Kunnath, Chief Operating Officer at ePaisa added that, with a new QR payment option in its product line, ePaisa plans to reach every business segment in the Retail industry, Local Transport Services, especially Small Merchants in tier II, III, IV cities, where still cash is the primary payment mode.
ePaisa, one of the contributors to the Government’s vision of digital & Cash-less India has partnered with ICICI bank as its payment gateway for all its UPI transactions. Currently, ePaisa is empowering more retailers and kirana stores across the country to accept digital payments and further contributing their business growth.
