Gurugram-based HRTech startup Leena AI has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from US-based investor Y Combinator and the startup has also become a part of the latter’s summer class 2018.
Started as an AI development company in 2015 by the name of Chatteron that helped its clients build their own chatbots. The team, comprising Adit Jain, Mayank Goyal and Anand Prajapati, launched Leena AI in August 2017 as a provider of virtual assistants for the workplace to focus on human resources chatbot. The bot – Leena AI – can be integrated into Slack, Skype or Workplace by Facebook. Currently, the startup has 12 paying clients including Coca-Cola Vietnam, Pearson, Marico, RPG among others, and aims to double the count in the next 60 days.
Leena AI is currently processing 1000s of conversations with employees every week. It offers more than 12 modules in HR including Onboarding, HR Services, Transactions and FAQ Automation, Expense Management, Travel Desk Automation, Ideas Bot among others.
Leena AI which counts bot platforms from companies like Microsoft, IBM and other FAQ automation platforms like Talla and AskSpoke as their competitors, is on track to increase its revenue by 5X. The startup is also looking to do experiments in other verticals like IT, Admin, Finance, Procurement, Sales and MIS.
“Basically, our end goal is to become the Siri for the enterprise. We are developing a companion (an assistant) for employees of any enterprise which will accompany them from the day they get the offer letter to their last day at office, solving all their queries & automating mundane tasks in a personalized manner over a conversational chat interface. This will include everything - HR, IT, Admin, Finance, Procurement, Sales, MIS & will not only be function specific personalization but role based personalizations & features as well,” the company said in a statement.
Other India startups who are also operating in the HRTech space include EDGE Networks, PeopleStrong, Bash, Skillate, and Darwinbox among others.
