As various online players are coming with new ways to connect with their audiences, online food delivery platform, Swiggy introduced a ‘do it yourself’ concept for its users. ‘Do it yourself’ will allow users to order ingredients of a dish from food centres on the Swiggy app. They will be able to then prepare the food on their own.
The concept while not new, still interesting for Indian food audiences, giving something to look forward to in lockdown times. However, as consumer behaviour changes, it is still a wait and watch that if such a concept will take-off from a platform like Swiggy.
This will also mean, that competition for the likes of Swiggy will change in a certain manner because ordering online opens up a broader utility for the platform.
