We Have Expanded Our “Made for India” Line Of Products: Sahil Mehta, Founder, Emmbros Overseas.

In an interview with BW Disrupt, Sahil Mehta, Founder, Emmbros Overseas, talks about trends, competitors, challenges and more.

1. What kind of shift in trends has the Wellness and Beauty Industry witnessed with the ongoing pandemic?

The skincare industry is reasoned to be one of the most dynamic markets in the country. Amidst the pandemic, a momentous shift has been noticed in consumer preferences with the world inclining towards more natural and organic products. In fact an unwavering rise has been observed towards vegan brand options in the market. The growing trend of supporting Made in India brands is a huge boost to sales of home-grown organic and herbal brands. 

2. How do you think the consumers have responded to these alterations with regards to consumer behaviour and trends? 

It has been observed that consumers have now started opting for prime beauty products that furnish a holistic approach for their overall wellness. The buyer now wants to know the ingredients used in making a product and its effectual benefit for their skin before making any purchase. 

3. What are your views about the current environment of the Beauty and Health & Personal Care category in India.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, companies in the beauty and personal care market are expected to find 2020 a challenging year. On the other hand demand for natural and organic products is set to rise as people will confide in such products now, as personal care and hygiene is of utmost importance given the present circumstances. Consumers will switch from unbranded to branded and safe products, while industry specialists will need to launch a miscellanea of pack sizes and effective products to broaden their mass appeal.

4. With the proliferated demand for holistic systems, how do you see Emmbros performing amongst all beauty players? 

All five beauty brands under the portfolio of Emmbros Overseas are performing great. All credit to our research & development team, who has a central focus on continuously working on improving our current line of products and launching a new & wide-variety of products that are the need of the hour. It is our constant endeavour to render the customers with the latest and best hair and skincare products

5. How are you different from the existing competitors?

We offer an out-and-out bouquet of beauty and wellness solutions under our various sub-brands, while combining our traditional wellness approach and botanical knowledge with cutting edge scientific research. We are charmed to be the first brand to pioneer various natural solutions to the Indian market and shall continue to do so. At Emmbros we strive to stay ahead by introducing more natural and indigenous products, as we proudly expand our “Made for India” line of products. Another factor that makes us different from our competition is that we are constantly working to improve and innovate with our product offerings and after-sale services at the best price points to give our consumers an unparalleled experience with every use.  

6. What is the funding status and monetization model?

We have not raised any external funding until now. 

7. What challenges are you facing in running your business?

One challenge that we do face is procurement issue.
