Walk the Talk With Devesh Chawla, Founder, Chatur Ideas
With over 550 startups under their wings, Chatur Ideas has a strong mentor & investor panel with people from various industries.
A few years ago, Devesh Chawla was intent on creating a taxi service business model for the city that was similar to Ola’s concept. Being a new player in the industry, however, he was given advice that made him change his mind only to watch Bhavish Aggarwal succeed with Ola in 2012.
With India doused in the startup culture, Chawla saw two new classes of entrepreneurs the ones who had the money, and the other who had the ideas. Chawla believes that ideas come to people easier than their implementation. He started Chatur Ideas, after studying the startup environment, in 2015 with intent to become a distinguished name in startup ecosystem and on this Republic Day he walked the talk with his firm determination and passion he carries for fostering entrepreneurship ecosystem in India – when he received the prestigious “ Mahatma Gandhi Samman Award” at Delhi in the presence of Governors and former Lok Sabha Speaker “ Dr. Meira Kumar” for playing a distinguished role in the entrepreneurship industry. This award is given to 25 Indians across the globe for their contribution in respective fields. Other 24 people who received the award were from UK, USA, Malaysia, Mauritius, etc.
Devesh says - Chatur Ideas is now a huge enabling platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors that connects them, and guides them to make better business decisions. With over 550 startups under their wings, Chatur Ideas has a strong mentor & investor panel with people from various industries.
Chatur Ideas has partnered with many institutes like IIT Guwahati, IIT Mumbai, JBIMS, ISB, SPJIMR with other campuses & institutes under pipeline. Devesh Chawla is a mentor and investor himself and has worked with hundreds of startups including Catapooolt, Strike, Orbit Marketplace (USA), Gamooz, Maax Market and many more. He also runs Entrepreneurship programs with startups along with Mr. Ajeet Khurana, Ex CEO of IIT incubation centre SINE.
They’ve also acquired Nurture Talent Academy, India’s first institute for entrepreneurs, taking them one step closer to become the country’s leading entrepreneurship training company. Nurture Talent Academy has been around over 5 years, training over 34,000 entrepreneurs across 125+ cities.
Devesh Chawla’s failure in one venture led him to revolutionize the entire startup ecosystem.
Chatur ideas have several announcements to be made in 2017 which includes its global partnership and presence in Silicon Valley and initiative to foster women entrepreneurship with support of Indian government.
