Venture Catalysts Uttar Pradesh Organize Startup Bootcamp in association with TiE Lucknow
The two-day Bootcamp will conclude with a session on ‘Government Policies and Norms towards Startups’, led by Alok Ranjan, IAS, former Chief Secretary UP and former Chief Advisor at the Cabinet Minister level to Chief Minister of UP.

Marking another major step towards raising the innovation quotient within the country, Venture Catalysts, India’s first and largest integrated incubator, has announced its plans to organize a two-day Startup Bootcamp in Uttar Pradesh in association with TiE Lucknow at Incuspaze, Lucknow. Scheduled for January 6-7, 2017, the landmark event will provide 20 startups in the region a platform to interact with and learn from domain experts, business leaders, and established entrepreneurs, empowering them with the knowledge that they need to achieve growth and scale. Several prominent stakeholders such as Dr. Apoorv Ranjan Sharma (cofounder and president of VCats); Vinayak Nath (cofounder and MD – VCats UP); Manan Sharma (MD of IGP.com); Sachin Saini (MD Keeros), and Mr. Alok Ranjan, IAS (former Chief Secretary UP and former Chief Advisor at the Cabinet Minister level to Chief Minister of UP) will be present at the VCats Startup Bootcamp.
The two-day Startup Bootcamp will begin with a session on ‘Creating an Investable Startup’. The session will be led by Dr. Apoorv, who will be sharing his observations and learnings from his extensive experience in the domain over the years. Vinayak Nath will then lead an engaging session on a topic of immense relevance for the start-up ecosphere today: ‘Investable vs. Lifestyle Startup – Moving towards Sustainability’. The participants will then break for lunch, which will be followed by two consecutive sessions presided over by Dr. Apoorv on the themes of ‘Refining and Fine-tuning Your Business Model towards Scalability’ and ‘Demystifying Term Sheets’.
Day 2 will begin with an engaging session led by the founders of Indiagifts Portal, Tarun Joshi and Manan Sharma, on ‘Identifying the Right Cofounders and Gaps in Your Business Model’, two decisions that trouble almost every prospective entrepreneur. The duo will talk about their entrepreneurial journey and discuss in detail the lessons they learnt about managing a business and personal camaraderie. It will be followed by a session with Sachin Saini, cofounder of MD Keeros, on ‘How to Develop a Business Plan that Gets Funded’. The two-day Bootcamp will conclude with an informative session on ‘Government Policies and Norms towards Startups’, which will be led by Shri Alok Ranjan, IAS.

VCats UP has already organized several startup and investor focused conclaves and events in Uttar Pradesh. VCats has also organised similar such activities in the emerging entrepreneurial hubs of India such as Raipur, Kolkata, Surat, Delhi, Bangaluru and Guwahati, with the aim of nurturing and developing the whole startup ecosystem of India.
