UpGrad Tying Up with Cambridge University for Online Courses
Byju’s is already marketing in Sri Lnka. UpGrad plans to spend Rs 200 crore on expansion in Southeast Asia and Middle East.

UpGrad, the edtech company founded by Ronnie Screwvala and Mayank Kumar, announced a first-of-its kind online education collaboration with the Executive Education division of Cambridge Judge Business School. Cambridge Judge Business School is the business school of the University of Cambridge, UK. With this, UpGrad also announced international expansion into Southeast Asia and Middle East markets and has earmarked Rs 200 crores for the same.
With focus on upskilling business professionals in digital marketing strategies, the program will combine Cambridge Judge Business School’s globally renowned faculty along with experts and select corporate partners from local markets. The enrolments are starting today and the first batch will launch by in January 2018.

UpGrad will also be marking its first international expansion into Singapore and Dubai, supporting the company's strategic business decision for global growth.

In Singapore, digital marketing spends are outgrowing all traditional marketing channels riding on the wave of burgeoning mobile and internet penetration and is expected to rise at a CAGR of 15 percent in Singapore over the next three years, exceeding the equivalent global growth rate of 11 percent. Additionally, UAE continues to be the largest advertising market in Middle East accounting for 46 percent of the total advertising expenditure across the Gulf region, according to TBWA Worldwide. The digital spend in the Middle East region is expected to grow at CAGR of 28 percent to reach $6.51 billion in 2020.
