Badiyajobs, New Delhi-based a technology company that helps employers hire entry-level workforce such as Telecallers, Salespersons, Drivers, Data Entry Operators conveniently, is selected by Facebook for its FBStart program. As part of the initiative, the startup will receive up to $40,000 funding from Facebook and its 30 partners, including Amazon, UserTesting, Dropbox and MailChimp. Along with it, the startup will have access to more than 25 services, including open source tools like React Native, FB Login, Account Kit and App Analytics.
Nitesh Verma, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, said "Getting selected in FBStart will definitely boost our expansion plans as it will provide much needed tools for marketing, support and scaling the product in different regions of India. Unlike other players in the market, we leverage modern technologies to provide full stack solution to both job seeker as well as recruiters. Facebook’s mentorship and expertise will help us align our product to better fit to market and hence we are pretty excited about this opportunity.”
The company was founded in September 2015 by IIT graduates Aditya Sriganesh, Nitesh Verma and Manoj Bingi. Badiyajobs, which automated job-seeker registration and assessment process using technology, has over 14,000 job-seekers on android app and 150 employers recruiting on its portal. It raised $100,000 in angel funding back in April 2016.
The startup is also selected as one of the nine global finalists in Google Business Group Story Search under Social Impact category. The competition by Google Business Group recognizes startups across the globe that are using technology extensively in small and medium business, social impact and technology sectors.
