Wired Hub, Rajasthan’s first co-working club, recently
concluded its Jodhpur Accelerator Program with a Demo Day in IIT Jodhpur. 9
startups who participated in the program, went through rigorous training
program including workshops, industry connects and networking meet-ups.
The demo day was judged by one of Rajasthan’s most
influential investors, Mahavir Pratap Sharma, along with Paresh Gupta
from Neos Angels and Dilnawaz Khan from Startup Oasis.
The 10-days accelerator program was structured to provide
startups a walkthrough starting from business modeling, to product design,
social media marketing techniques, hiring the right talent and finally creating
a pitch deck that can impress the investors. The program was supported by Qriyo, which itself is one of the successful
startups to have come out of Jodhpur (funded by Idein Ventures).
The startups that participated in the program included
Jodhpur Design Company, VegforSure, Potlidas, Fitness Studio, Surprise
Planners, MyshopIQ, MyFoodGuy, out of which 3 startups were shortlisted to pitch
on the Demo Day -
- Providing customer fresh fruits and vegetables at their doorstep in 3 hrs.
Customers can order via WhatsApp, live chatting on the website, through online
ordering via website, or via direct calling.
- An innovative hyper local grocery marketplace which is providing an Ecosystem
for New age commerce to Global businesses
- MyFoodGuy basically works as a Hyper Local market for Customer where
Restaurants, Sweets and Namkeen Shops are listed online and orders are accepted
via the website.
The Demo Day was also in partnership with The Tech Portal’s flagship event Pitch Off, and the selected startup,
MyShopIQ got a direct entry to their main event, which is slated to
happen in February 2017.
While startup ecosystem in Jodhpur is yet to mature, such
accelerator programs and upcoming co-working spaces add a lot of value to the
community and create a positive entrepreneurial ecosystem.
