Startup Trakinvest Ties Up with ISB to Launch Global Stock Trading Competition in the Virtual World

The trading window for the competition runs from September 19, 2016 through September 23, 2016, with results to be announced on September 24, 2016. Winning teams will be identified based on the percentage change in their portfolio net worth from start of the game.

Global virtual trading platform, TrakInvest, and the Indian School of Business (ISB), have come together to present Beat the Street, a virtual trading competition as part of the 4th edition of Advaita, ISB’S international management fest which brings together bright minds from global B Schools to compete, collaborate and connect.

Participants in Beat the Street include students from business schools such as National University of Singapore, The University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, the Paris-based IE Business School, the China Europe International Business School and many more. Winners get to take home prizes worth USD 2000. The NSE-ISB Trading Laboratory is the Knowledge Partner for the competition.

Beat The Street is open to teams comprising of two participants from the same school. Each team will be given an initial virtual currency of USD 100, 000 with an opportunity to trade in 10 global stock markets that include SZSE, NSDQ, LSE, SEHK, SSE, NYSE, NSE, ASX, SET and SGX.

Bhatia has 25 years of experience in private equity and is former Principal at JP Morgan Partners in Hong Kong, and was Head of Principal Investments at AIG Financial Products. He will mentor students at ISB and advice participants about strategies for the game.
