Wearable Technologies

Cutting-edge technologies have made their way into every aspect of our lives and the health and wellness segment is no exception. As more and more people gravitate towards a fit and healthy lifestyle, activity trackers, step counters and heart rate monitors, etc., have become increasingly popular. Over the upcoming years, wearable technologies will gain further prominence as they become easily accessible.

Outdoor Gyms

We live in times when safety and hygiene are paramount, and the sanitation aspect of any premises has become the top concern for people. Although several people opted for home-based workouts to continue their fitness regimes, gyms have now reopened, and given the concerns surrounding gatherings in closed spaces, gyms are now moving fitness equipment to open spaces to mitigate any risk of contamination. The upcoming year will see a surge in outdoor gymnasiums and fitness classes being conducted in open spaces.

This year has witnessed an increased preference for safety and convenience and this trend is expected to continue in the future. although virtual appointments with medical professionals are still at a nascent stage, it is quickly gaining traction, and 2021 will see an uptick in health/wellness supplements being delivered to customers’ doorstep and virtual appointments made through smartphone applications.

Online Group Fitness Training

As mentioned earlier, people are steering clear of gatherings for safety reasons and the trend of online fitness training has picked up. While this already existed before the pandemic, there has been a notable shift in consumer behavior as people opt for home-based workout plans. More and more people are for various fitness moving towards online group classes regimens including cross-fit, dance, aerobics, etc. On the wellbeing side, practices such as stretching, progressive muscle relaxation, mindfulness-based stress reduction, meditation, and yoga to strengthen your mind and body, have gained prominence. The new year is expected to see this trend continue with a massive surge in people choosing online training.

Innovative healthcare supplements

With health and safety becoming top priorities, healthcare supplements are becoming more innovative to cater to people’s requirements. Since they can be incorporated into your day-to-day life, healthcare supplements are now becoming a new go-to option for people to fulfill their nutritional needs while helping them maintain their overall health and wellness.

It’s no surprise that the world has changed since the onset of the pandemic. Consumer expectations and preferences are evolving along with the health and wellness industry. Brands that think outside the box and serve consumer requirements efficiently are here to stay and will be a part of the explosive growth that the sector is set to achieve soon.
