Every year million of entrepreneurs come up with great ideas but converting an idea into reality is never an easy task. One should have truly understand what is required mentally, physically and intellectually to go from idea to reality. BW Disrupt is looking at entrepreneurs who not only succeeded, but built vast business empires. We are inviting leaders from diverse domains to be part of the first ever 'BW Disrupt 40 UNDER 40 List' where we are gearing up to receive hundreds of nominations every day in this month.
Nominations are accepted in different categories including Healthtech, Edutech, Fintech, Commerce, DeepTech, CleanTech, Big Data/Analytics and NewTech (AI, AR, VR, ML, Blockchain, IoT & Cryptocurrencies) among others.
We are receiving nominations up to 31st August, after then our honorable jury members will decide who will be the top entrepreneurs in respective categories, based on the details submitted by nominees during nominations.
When asked about ‘the qualities & ideas they are looking out in this BW Disrupt 40 UNDER 40 list’, all the jury members have shared their views which are as follows:
Vishal Gondal, Founder and CEO of GOQii, said, “I would look for someone who is different, defy convention and look at a problem and say can we do this in a better way."
Murugavel Janakiraman, Founder and Managing Director, Matrimony.com whose flagship brand is India’s leading matchmaking service BharatMatrimony, said, “I look forward to innovative solutions to customer challenges, unconventional approaches to solve problems, disruptions, tenacity of the entrepreneur, speed of execution and of course success.”
Sanjay Mehta – Angel & PE Investor, said, “We are amidst the most happening era where emerging companies are challenging the incumbents with their disruptive technology. I would be looking to see if any of companies in the list are investable with respect to large market size, founders expertise & their IP. I am excited to be on jury & getting opportunity to evaluate, voice my opinion for the selection of "The Disruptive Startups Of India.”
Sandeep Aggarwal, Founder of Shopclues and Droom, added, “I am liking for people who have stayed ahead of curve their entire group and does not matter what but they have always outperformed their peer groups. I am looking for the individuals who are driven, passionate, and inspires others.”
Vinesh Menon, Chief Executive Officer, Education, Skilling & Consulting Services, Vibgyor Group of Schools, mentioned, "I would be looking for the fertile under 40 minds who are planning sustained long term value creation than making a short term news making impact on the entrepreneurship radar.”
I am NOT looking for any young entrepreneur who intends to bring about business ideas & plans ONLY in the areas that seem to excite PEs & VCs. The ideal ideator would be one who has undergone a personal experience that seems to find resonance with most of the indian citizens and then put together a solution plank to address it. I believe that such ideas would be far more robust for execution, scale and value creation.”
