Lynk, a Chennai-based tech logistics startup, has announced the launch of ‘Lynk Wallet’, a electronic payment service, giving users an option to make an hassle free, cash-less payments in the logistics industry.
Lynk is a technology platform for intra-city logistics that connects a shipper with a transporter, in order to move goods within a city, on-demand. The company uses proprietary algorithms to efficiently match the right driver with the right customer, based on a variety of parameters like real time, estimated time of arrival (ETA), vehicle type, vehicle structure, driver preferences, customer preferences, etc.
The Lynk Wallet is an option offered only to Lynk users, where one will have the option to make cashless payments for logistics using Net Banking, NEFT/RTGS, Credit/Debit Cards and even popular mobile wallets like PayTM. Once the Lynk Wallet is loaded, the balance is adjusted against the charges incurred by a user for subsequent bookings on the Lynk Platform. Lynk users can also download invoices, view statements of accounts and track their spend using the Lynk web portal – all of which makes local logistics a seamless and hassle free experience.
Commenting on this, Mr. Abinav Raja, Co-Founder, Lynk Logistics said, “E-wallets are the future of payment transactions. We are aiming at promoting the use of e-wallets, as the solution ensures a faster, smoother and more efficient systemized transaction process which is extremely crucial for the unorganized logistics sector.”
“The increased penetration of smartphones, growing usage of e-wallets and pro-digital government policy is creating a favorable ecosystem for digital payments to thrive in the country. We are glad to be one of the first startups to introduce a robust e-payment platform in the intra-city trucking space and we have been pleasantly surprised by the strong user adoption so far” Added Shekhar Bhende, Co-Founder, Lynk Logistics
