Logistics Startup Shiprocket Elevates CBO Akshay Ghulati As Co-Founder
This is a rare move where a start-up offers the title of a founding partner to one of its veteran executives. After this elevation, Shiprocket has 4 co-founders in the team. Akshay joined the organization in 2016 from Amazon where he was serving as the senior manager for the pan-Europe marketplace.
Leading tech-enabled D2C e-commerce logistics aggregator Shiprocket has elevated its Chief Business Officer (CBO) Akshay Ghulati as a “Co-founder” of the company. Akshay has been with Shiprocket for over four years having joined the company as the CBO in early 2016. Prior to this, Akshay ran pan-Europe FBA for Amazon in the UK.
At Shiprocket, Akshay spearheads the overall business function including strategy, marketing and customer. His key contribution, however, lies in designing an unparalleled customer experience and increasing sales and revenue for the brand. Akshay has also played an instrumental role in driving innovative marketing towards success during his stint with Shiprocket.
A graduate of Wharton Business School in Economics, Akshay also holds a MBA from Harvard Business School. Prior to Shiprocket, Akshay has extensive experience in leading ecommerce and technology businesses with companies such as Amazon, AT Kearney and Parthenon Group.

Akshay envisions Shiprocket as the leading SME e-commerce logistics platform in India and globally a few years down the line. Shiprocket recently raised Series C round funding of $13 million from Tribe Capital, Innoven Capital along with existing investors including Bertelmann and company plans to expand across other countries.

With 20 courier partners on board, the brand enables pan-India as well as international shipping deliveries. With a multicarrier API that allows sellers to manage orders, print shipping labels, and avail tracking information from multiple providers, Shiprocket also offers state-of-the-art fulfilment solutions.
