The 15 startups that were shortlisted for the program went through a rigorous two-day program and presented to investors on the third and final day.
L.I.F.E. (Leader In Female Entrepreneur) held its first three-day “Boot-camp and Investor Day” in Delhi from 18th to 20th April at the Indian Habitat Centre. The camp was designed for early stage startups to help them refine their business models and help them with creating a complete package to become investor ready.
“We partnered with some of the prominent players in the startup ecosystem in India to design the boot-camp that not only provides the essentials for building an early stage startup, but also make it investor ready,” says Juhee Sachdev, founder and CEO of Leader In You that conceived and conducted the boot-camp.
The 15 startups that were shortlisted for the program went through a rigorous two-day program and presented to investors on the third and final day. The investors included Indian Angel Network, Kae- Capital, Ah! Ventures and NASSCOM 10000 Start Up among others. The Bootcamp was an action based program where all the start-ups enhanced their value proposition, business model, elevator pitch using the proven tools and templates.
“Articulation of the value proposition and delivering your message in front of the investors is very critical, and this is what the program helps the entrepreneurs do,” says Navin Honagudi, the Investment Director at Kae capital.
Our entrepreneur participant, Bishalakhi Ghosh, Co-founder GIV Central says, "We found out that there are things about value proposition that we are not articulating properly. When the customer segmentation happened; very frankly speaking entrepreneurs sometimes don’t think about. But the depth in which customer segmentation can be done and personas can be created has given us very new approach to look at the market.”
"The program was designed to give the participants a holistic view to not only present their businesses in front of potential investors but also give them day to day executional tools to manage them better," adds Ashish Manchanda, the founder of Culturro, facilitator partners for the program.
The four winners of the Investor's Day will go for the second round of discussion with the Investor panel and mentoring from the LIFE Program mentors panel.
“It is a great initiative to help early stage startups to prepare for the next level. The feedback from mentors and investors was amazing and would definitely help the participants to make their ventures much stronger and attractive for the investors,” adds Harshdeep Rapal, Founder & CEO of LeanFlo Inc.
Digvijay Singh, Vice President, Indian Angel Network speaks that “Good effort by L.I.F.E. Bootcamp. It helped many newcomers learn the ropes of the startup ecosystem.”
