InvAsent, a healthcare-focussed fund has invested Rs 70 crore in Delhi Based Eyecare chain Sharp Sight Group of Eye Hospitals to power its Expansion over the next 3 years. The chain was founded by two ﬁrst generation entrepreneurs Dr Samir Sud and Dr Kamal B Kapur and it currently runs 7 hospitals in Delhi NCR & J&K.
The eyecare chain driven by their CEO Deepshikha Sharma will be aiming at strengthening its foothold in tier 2 cities and underserviced areas over the next 3 years. There is a large unmet need for comprehensive eye care services in North India especially tier 2 cities.
The penetration of organized eyecare is relatively lower in North India as compared to the southern and western parts of the country. We found that the thought process and ideology of InvAsent blended perfectly with our long term vision.

She further added, We also aim at creating social impact across regions where we expand. Most of the patients with visual impairment are dependent on his/her immediate family on a day to day basis. With rapid urbanization happening in tier 2 cities we intend to create job opportunities and provide quality training and employment generation in these cities.’’
