Healthcare Startup NirogStreet Acquihires Brahm Ayurved, Plans to Raise Series A Funding Soon

Post the acquihire, Dr. Abhishek Gupta (Founder, Brahm Ayurved) will be joining NirogStreet as Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer.

NirogStreet, India’s first technology led Ayurveda platform to make Ayurveda evidence based and first call of treatment across the globe, has acquihired Brahm Ayurved, one of the largest social and professional community of Ayurvedic Doctors.

NirogStreet is backed by Spiral Venture, a Japanese VC fund, a unique startup working towards building trust back in Ayurveda healthcare has now been joined by Brahm Ayurveda, a rapidly growing professional community of Ayurvedic Doctors having 60,000 members.

Founded by Ram N Kumar (Ayurveda Man), NirogStreet has been able to earn a lot of trust in the business community in a short span of time.

Brahm Ayurved was founded by renowned Ayurvedacharya Dr. Abhishek Gupta in the year 2010 with an aim to connect Ayurveda experts and students through a single channel. Brahm Ayurved promotes learning, knowledge sharing, employment opportunities, industry updates, etc. for the advancement of the community of Ayurveda practitioners. The community currently has an ever-growing pool of members, including eminent Ayurveda personalities, who engage in disease-based discussions and related exercises regularly.

Post the acquihire, Dr. Abhishek Gupta (Founder, Brahm Ayurved) will be joining NirogStreet as Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer. Dr. Abhishek Gupta is an Ayurveda Expert and has worked as a clinician and an advisor at Apollo pharmacy apart from other various reputed Ayurvedic companies. Dedicated to the cause of health and wellness in the country, Dr. Gupta has accomplished many different goals toward helping the community learn and grow from each other in an efficient and engaging way.

The company is looking to raise pre series A in October 2018.

Big players who have already been ruling in the Ayurveda ecosystem are Dabur, Himalaya, Amrutanjan, Baidyanath, VICCO, Patanjali, Nirogam.com and Kama Ayurveda. Also, in January 2018, Gurugram-based ayurvedic healthcare beverages startup KivaShots secured an angel round led by a consortium of investors.
