Early Stage Venture Fund advantEdge Partners Appoints Ridhish Talwar to Head Its Incubator Program

In his new role, Ridhish will be responsible for identifying new startups for the program while simultaneously creating an industry-leading ecosystem of mentors, partners and business linkages for supporting the incubated startups.

Leading early stage venture capital fund advantEdge Partners announced the appointment of Ridhish Tawlar as Head of its Incubator Program earlier today.

In his new role, Ridhish will be responsible for identifying new startups for the program while simultaneously creating an industry-leading ecosystem of mentors, partners and business linkages for supporting the incubated startups.

Ridhish has rich experience in entrepreneurship and earlier cofounded a gaming brand called The Shark, which pioneered the development of poker in India, resulting in a successful alliance with leading online portal Adda52. He later co-founded EasyLaw to offer standardized legal services to clients in India.

The six-month incubation program by advantEdge follows a rolling admission cycle and provides 360 degree support to accelerate startups through their initial lifecycle. On acceptance into the incubation program, startups will receive capital of upto INR 1.5mn, access to advantEdge’s world-class infrastructure, on-call support services and free credits from their word leading partner network, including Amazon, Microsoft and IBM among others. Selected startups will also have ready access to the fund’s experienced in-house team, world class mentor network, investor community and industry connections.

Speaking at the launch of the initiative, Ridhish Talwar said, “The program is structured to provide one-to-one attention to startups coming on board, unlike many other programs in India which run batches. We want selected startups to focus only on building products and delivering to customers. For everything else, the incubator ecosystem will provide all necessary support. We are looking at incubating upto 30 startups over the next few year.”

The advantEdge incubator program is open to just-formed or early stage startups with a compelling value proposition, working towards strong unit economics, led by a committed and strong founding team.

Apart from the Incubator program, which is based in Delhi NCR, advantEdge also runs a highlight successful early stage tech fund and has made 18 investments so far in pioneering companies like Rapido, Shuttl, TrulyMadly, ScoopWoop, IndiaLends and IIM Jobs etc.
