Digital Media Platform TechSamvad Raises Seed Funding

Digital Media is at a nascent stage in India and is a fast growing domain for startups. With recent fund-raise of the likes of PopXo, it has once again been testified that vernacular media and regional language is increasing at an all time high rate in India.

A young digital media platform TechSamvad, has reportedly raised an undisclosed amount of funding last week from Digital Media Entrepreneur, Pawas Jain, who has been behind global media platforms such as SpringTide, The Tech Portal and is currently running media and marketing company The Brand Cocktail, which is developing exciting content and media products for the future.

TechSamvad is a Lucknow headquartered media platform founded by Ashutosh Kumar Singh. TechSamvad is one of the first of its kind, completely Hindi Technology News platform, which aims to bring global tech news to the Indian consumers in their own native language.

Ashutosh, who is a Lucknow based engineer, said, "The funding comes as a fresh infusion of energy and enthusiasm and gives more confidence on the growth of vernacular content and regional language content digitally. The consumption of local languages has seen a huge upward trend in recent years and we aim to provide global tech news in native language of our country, to make Indian citizens truly global and have access to the news from across the World."

On the vision behind this investment, Pawas said, "TechSamvad has a great team working behind the concept. The vision of creating a Tech news platform in Hindi, and then expanding to more vernacular languages is something that can truly be a game-changer."
