CyberMedia Ties-up With ‘TechShots’, Announces Strategic Investment In The Venture

TechShots curates the national and international technology news every day and summarizes it in less than 400 characters for easy and fast consumption.

CyberMedia India limited, South Asia's largest B2B technology brand and owner of magazine brands like Dataquest, Voice&Data, PCQuest and DQChannels announced a strategic investment in TechShots, India's first B2B short news app for technology decision-makers. 

TechShots curates the national and international technology news every day and summarizes it in less than 400 characters for easy and fast consumption. It allows the reader to read the complete story if the user so desires. 

In the short term, it has emerged as the most highly rated B2B technology news app on Google Play, app store. The impressions on content continue to grow at 30 per cent month-on-month. 

As per the terms of the agreement, CyberMedia will drive the content of TechShots and bring in its over four decades of B2B technology news publishing experience. TechShots, having a digital-first strategy, will empower CyberMedia's digital media presence in this digital content consumption age, where 80% of the content is consumed on handheld devices. 

Pradeep Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director of CyberMedia India Ltd., who is also a winner of “National Entrepreneurship Award as the Best Mentor” by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India will mentor TechShots' team. He cited that traffic on online news websites increased by 17% week-on-week during 1st week of COVID crisis lockdown as per industry study.

As per industry studies, News aggregator apps and other proprietary news apps witnessed a sharp jump in viewership by 22% and 76% respectively.
