CII has announced the launch of the 1st edition of the CII Corporate Cricket League, C3L in association with MyySports. C3L was scheduled to be played at the Jamia Hamdard Cricket Ground, New Delhi from April 29, 2022 to May 1, 2022.
The first edition of the C3L-Corporate Cricket League successfully concluded on 1 May 2022 with the final match played between the teams of JK Cement (JK Panthers) and Hero MotoCorp (Splendid Hero). The teams of JK Cement (JK Panthers) won the first edition of the C3L tournament. The man of the tournament was Purshottam from JK Cement (JK Panthers), and the bowler of the tournament was Piyush Singh Kushwah, also from JK Cement (JK Panthers).
Sanjay Sherpuria, Social Entrepreneur and Writer, while presenting the award said “MyySports is going to be a game-changer for all, especially for the rural youth. This app will provide the missing link and be a bridge to their urban aspirations and dreams.” CII aims to serve as an enabler for evangelizing sports in the country, by defining the agenda to catalyse forces of both policy-making and private enterprise – in bringing the vision of a sporting nation alive.
Madhav Singhania, Chairman, CII Delhi State and Deputy MD and CEO JK Cement said, “C3L endeavours in keeping the organizations connected by creating physical interactions and team building activities, all of which was lost with the outbreak of COVID-19. It is great to see the corporate league coming out in such an impactful and professional manner as international cricket. C3L is clearly the first of many more to come”.
MyySports is a sports-tech start-up committed to democratising sports in India and empowering the youth through its mobile app. MyySports will identify and nurture sporting talent and invest in grassroots sports using its content, gaming and technology capabilities.
Saurav Banerjee, MD & Founder of MyySports said “With the MyySports scoring App now available on both the Google Play store and iOS App Store, we plan to empower the cricket playing youth of not just India, but of Bharat as well. The high point for me was hearing Jay, one of the players from Goodluck Heroes say that his father watched the entire match sitting in his field in rural Uttar Pradesh. The app engagement we witnessed at the time of the finale, went beyond our expectations.” The app will create an avenue for a 360-degree sporting marketplace to organically come together to support budding talent and future sports stars.
